Location: Remote (CST Hours)
Onsite/Remote/Hybrid: Remote
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As an AI Tech Business Intelligence (BI) Lead, you will serve as the analytical and quantitative engine of the organization. You will leverage Google''s internal analytics infrastructure—including Plx Dashboards, GoogleSQL, query engines, and Plx Workflows—to design executive-ready dashboards, automate recurring data pulls, and perform deep-dive statistical analyses.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with Strategy & Operations (S&O), Engineering leadership, and Go-To-Market teams to define canonical metrics, track customer engagement ROI, and monitor the velocity of AI transformations. You will be responsible for building self-service BI tools, conducting bespoke quantitative studies (e.g., measuring the activation gap across accounts), and translating complex datasets into clear, narrative reporting for VP and director-level stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plx Dashboard Architecture: Design, develop, and maintain highly performant, automated Plx Dashboards (and Looker/Tableau reporting suites) to visualize key AI Tech operational metrics, FDE allocation efficiency, and customer engagement outcomes, among others.
- Complex SQL & Data Pulls: Write, optimize, and execute advanced GoogleSQL queries across internal Google data repositories (including deepmind_analytics, Buganizer, CRM, and Plx tables) to generate rapid, highly accurate data pulls for executive leadership.
- Data Pipeline Automation (ETL): Build, monitor, and maintain reliable data pipelines using Plx Workflows and automated scripting to ingest, clean, transform, and aggregate raw operational data into curated data tables.
- Deep-Dive Quantitative Analysis: Perform ad-hoc statistical and exploratory data analyses to answer critical strategic questions, evaluate engagement ROI, analyze customer adoption patterns, and identify operational efficiency bottlenecks.
- Metric Governance & Standardization: Partner with Strategy & Operations (S&O) to define, standardize, and govern canonical business and operational metrics across the AI Tech organization.
- Executive Reporting & Storytelling: Synthesize complex data findings into structured visual charts, executive briefing summaries, and narrative presentations for the leadership
- Self-Service BI Enablement: Empower field teams and program managers with self-service data tools and documentation, reducing manual reporting overhead and accelerating time-to-insight.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Quantitative Analysis, or technical consulting within an enterprise technology environment.
- Advanced proficiency in writing complex SQL queries (e.g., GoogleSQL, ANSI SQL) and querying large-scale relational databases and data warehouses.
- Proven experience designing and deploying interactive BI dashboards and reporting applications (e.g., Plx Dashboards, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI).
- Experience building and maintaining data transformation workflows and ETL pipelines.
