Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Software Developer I to join the HR IT Team in a contract-to-hire capacity. This role supports Human Resources & Benefits, Corporate Communications, and W&S Print Shop business areas and partners with internal business stakeholders to build secure, scalable, enterprise-grade software solutions.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in .NET Core, Web APIs, cloud-native and RESTful architectures, and full-stack development, along with the ability to collaborate effectively, provide technical leadership, and follow SDLC and DevOps standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain secure enterprise software solutions supporting HR business operations.
Build full-stack applications using .NET Core, RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
Develop scalable backend platforms leveraging relational databases and cloud technologies.
Lead cross-platform integrations, third-party API connections, and SaaS implementations.
Participate in CI/CD pipeline development, release automation, code reviews, refactoring, and quality assurance practices.
Collaborate closely with Business Sponsors to gather requirements, identify issues early, and drive solutions forward.
Provide technical guidance, documentation, and mentorship within the team.
Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Strong experience building applications in .NET Core / .NET 8+, C#, RESTful APIs, and Web APIs.
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Cloud development experience (Azure preferred; AWS/Google Cloud Platform acceptable).
Expertise working with relational databases, backend platform design, and data modeling.
Experience with third-party API integrations, SaaS integrations, and event-driven architectures (queues, messaging, service buses).
Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred), automated deployments, and release management.
Strong understanding of SDLC standards, unit testing, QA practices, code quality, and refactoring.
Soft Skills & Competencies:
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with demanding business partners.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality solutions on time.
Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail and ability to diagnose complex issues.
Desire to work in a supportive, fast-moving HR IT team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
They need to be an incredibly strong communicator. They need to be able to speak articulately to technical leadership as well as clearly communicating to leadership in layman terms.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $93.00/hr.
