Senior GIS Developer (Fully Remote)
Duration: 6+ months
Location: East Coast candidates only

Clearance: Preferred, Candidates with a minimum of a Public Trust Clearance.
Public Trust Clearance Requirements:
- Must have lived in the US for at least 5 years
- Cannot have been outside the US for more than 6 months cumulatively in the last 5 years
(Information will be verified on Public Trust Security Forms if selected)
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of professional experience in GIS development
- Strong proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS software and geospatial applications
- Solid understanding of geospatial data formats, projections, and cartography
- Experience with GIS platforms like ArcGIS, QGIS, and web mapping technologies
- Proficient in programming languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, C#
- Knowledge of spatial databases and cloud computing services
- Experience with GIS APIs (ESRI Map APIs, Leaflet, OpenLayers) and web front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks like React, Vue.js, Angular)
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Experience (2+ years):
- GIS principles and spatial data concepts
- Agile methodologies and SDLC practices
- DevSecOps, secure coding, and solutions development frameworks (Docker, Jenkins, GitLab)
- Cloud architecture, design, and development
- Business process re-engineering
- Change and configuration management (VersionOne, ServiceNow)
- Application lifecycle management (ALM)
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; if not, 4 additional years of related experience required
- 8–12 years of relevant experience performing functional duties independently
