Summary

Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined Service Technician to perform inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and installations of automotive lifting equipment at customer locations. This is a field-based role requiring strong technical skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently while representing the company professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance, annual inspections, repairs, and installations of automotive lifting equipment.

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues and complete repairs efficiently.

  • Update service records, repair notes, parts requirements, and follow-up actions using a digital service management system.

  • Train customers on the safe and proper operation of equipment.

  • Identify required replacement parts using technical manuals and documentation.

  • Communicate customer feedback, service opportunities, and equipment concerns to management.

  • Provide exceptional customer service by resolving issues professionally and efficiently.

  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in automotive equipment service, automotive repair, industrial maintenance, or a related mechanical field is preferred.

  • Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Comfortable using a multimeter (training available if required).

  • Proficient with computers, tablets, Microsoft Office 365, email, Microsoft Teams, and PDF documents.

  • Ability to read technical manuals and accurately identify replacement parts.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Professional communication and customer service skills.

  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Valid Ontario Class G Driver''s Licence with a clean driving record.

  • Willingness to travel locally on a daily basis, with occasional overnight travel as required.

  • Must own or be able to obtain a standard set of hand tools, including a multimeter.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at heights throughout the day.

  • Comfortable working in industrial and automotive shop environments.

  • Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, and steel-toe safety boots.

  • Ability to complete safety training, including Working at Heights and WHMIS.
