What will your day look like?

As a Senior Software Developer, you will:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications and distributed systems

• Partner with Product Owners and technical teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Develop solution architectures that seamlessly integrate with upstream and downstream systems

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and cloud-native applications

• Develop high-quality code, automated tests, and technical documentation throughout the software development lifecycle

• Lead technical initiatives and help drive projects to successful completion while meeting stakeholder expectations

• Support and troubleshoot production applications, identifying and resolving performance, reliability, and scalability issues

• Monitor application health and proactively address technical debt, security concerns, and system stability challenges

• Develop and maintain automation scripts, deployment pipelines, and operational tooling

• Work closely with development and support teams to ensure customer needs and business objectives are met

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools and practices to improve delivery speed, code quality, testing, and troubleshooting

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Serve as a technical steward for applications, ensuring long-term maintainability and operational excellence

You will be a good fit for this role if you have:

• 7+ years of software development experience supporting both new and legacy applications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Strong experience with Java, Kotlin, or similar object-oriented programming languages

• Experience with Python and other modern development languages

• Deep understanding of object-oriented design principles and Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs

• Strong experience with AWS cloud services, including serverless technologies

• Hands-on experience with services such as AWS Lambda, S3, SQS, SNS, and API Gateway

• Experience working with relational databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar platforms

• Experience with NoSQL database technologies

• Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Maven, or similar CI/CD tools

• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and software design principles

• Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions

• Experience creating and executing unit tests and supporting software quality initiatives

• Proven ability to lead technical modules, projects, or workstreams

• Experience working within Agile Scrum teams

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences

• Demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience supporting laboratory, healthcare, diagnostic, or highly regulated environments

• Experience building distributed cloud platforms at enterprise scale

• Experience with AI-enabled software development practices and tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, AI-assisted testing, or AI-powered code review

• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles

• Familiarity with cloud-native observability and monitoring tools

• Experience leading initiatives focused on technical debt reduction and process improvement

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform cloud technologies
