Responsibilities include oversight, direction, and coordination of administrative, financial, business and information system along with reporting and budgeting of transit infrastructure projects. Candidate will be assigned multiple projects varying in size, complexity and duration which are of importance to the Department. Candidate will work closely with other PMs, supervisors, staff and departments to coordinate, construct, and execute project on time and within budget.
Below are a few requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or closely related field
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction, or related field. Or equivalent work experience.
Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
Project Management curriculum is required.
Requires seven to 10 years of Project Management experience, including complex transit projects including county, state, and federal projects
A minimum of ten years of experience managing Information
Technology, transit construction, public works, or similar transit
projects
Ten years of Vendor management experience including contract
management and contract negotiations.
6 years of progressively responsible experience in public transportation projects (planning, design, construction)
Construction oversight experience in transportation sector
5 years of vertical construction experience
Design experience in transportation sector
Experience in managing high profile publicly funded projects
ADA knowledge
and preferences for the position:
Master’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or closely related field
Knowledge in alternative delivery methods for construction (Design-Build, progressive design-build, CMAR)
Experience in Grant funding execution
Certifications and Licenses:
Must obtain and possess a valid Florida Drivers License
