Job Title: SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Business Analyst
Job Summary
The SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Business Analyst serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business needs into scalable, secure, and compliant SAP BTP solutions. This role focuses on analyzing business processes, defining requirements, and supporting the design and implementation of SAP BTP-based extensions, integrations, analytics, and automation that enhance SAP S/4HANA and related enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis expertise with a working knowledge of SAP BTP services, integration patterns, and cloud-based application development.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Management
- Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business requirements for SAP BTP solutions, including extensions, integrations, workflows, and analytics.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and process-mapping sessions to identify business needs and pain points.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows.
- Maintain requirements traceability throughout the solution lifecycle.
SAP BTP Solution Support
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and functional consultants to design SAP BTP-based solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Support initiatives leveraging SAP BTP services such as:
- SAP Integration Suite
- SAP Build (Apps, Process Automation, Work Zone)
- SAP Extension Suite
- SAP Analytics Cloud
- SAP HANA Cloud
- Assist in defining integration scenarios between SAP S/4HANA, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Concur, and non-SAP systems.
Process Improvement & Governance
- Analyze current-state and future-state business processes and recommend improvements enabled by SAP BTP capabilities.
- Ensure solutions align with enterprise architecture standards, security policies, and data governance requirements.
- Support compliance, risk, and control reviews (e.g., data privacy, audit readiness).
Testing, Deployment & Change Support
- Support test planning, UAT coordination, and defect triage.
- Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Assist with change management, training materials, and end-user documentation.
- Support post-go-live stabilization and continuous improvement efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in SAP or enterprise application environments.
- Hands-on experience supporting SAP implementations, enhancements, or integrations.
- Strong understanding of business process modeling (e.g., BPMN, value streams).
- Experience writing functional requirements, user stories, and use cases.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and facilitation skills.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience specifically with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA functional areas (Finance, MM, SD, HCM, Asset Management, etc.).
- Exposure to cloud integration patterns, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with SAP CALM/Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
- SAP certifications (e.g., SAP BTP, SAP Activate, SAP Integration Suite).
- Experience in public sector, education and/or large enterprise environments.
