Job Title: Lead Consultant SAP PP (Production Planning)
Location: Richardson, TX 75082 (Hybrid 3 Days Onsite / Week)
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Experience Required
8 10+ Years (Minimum 10 Years Preferred in SAP PP)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP PP Lead Consultant with deep expertise in Production Planning and Manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will lead workshops, solution design, and hands-on configuration, and play a key role in SAP implementations and rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Gathering & Workshops
Conduct business workshops to capture manufacturing and planning requirements
Translate requirements into functional specifications and SAP solutions
Act as a bridge between business users and technical teams
- Solution Design & Configuration
Design and configure end-to-end SAP PP solutions, including:
Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
Production Orders / Process Orders
Work Centers & Routings
Bills of Materials (BOM)
Capacity Planning
Shop Floor Control
Ensure seamless integration with:
MM (Materials Management)
SD (Sales & Distribution)
QM (Quality Management)
- Implementation & Rollouts
Lead or support at least 2+ full-cycle SAP implementations/rollouts
Participate in blueprint, realization, testing, and go-live phases
Handle enhancements, change requests, and system improvements
- Testing & Deployment
Support Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and UAT
Prepare test cases, scenarios, and documentation
Assist in defect resolution and production support
- Stakeholder & Delivery Management
Collaborate with cross-functional SAP teams (MM, SD, QM, ABAP, BASIS)
Provide status updates and solution walkthroughs to stakeholders
Ensure quality delivery and adherence to timelines
- Travel & Collaboration
Willingness to travel 10 25% within USA/Canada
Travel expenses covered by client
Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in SAP PP (Production Planning)
- Hands-on configuration experience in:
- MRP
- Production Planning & Execution
- BOM & Routing
- Capacity Planning
- Experience in end-to-end SAP implementations and rollouts
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes
- Experience with cross-module integration (MM, SD, QM)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA PP
- Knowledge of PP-PI (Process Industries)
- Exposure to IDOCs, interfaces, and basic ABAP debugging
- Experience in global or multi-site rollouts
- Strong client-facing experience
