PSA Engineer - DTS

We are seeking an EMS Application Engineer with experience in power system applications and electrical transmission modeling. The candidate will support Energy Management Systems (EMS) including configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and model validation for systems such as PowerOn Reliance (XA21), eTerra, or similar EMS platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, or Schneider.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer and optimize EMS platforms through configuration, tuning, and security patching.

• Perform model validation and defect resolution for Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS).

• Troubleshoot and restore failed or degraded services within EMS environments.

• Conduct code reviews, deployment, testing, and monitoring of break/fix patches.

• Work with power system applications such as Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, and A(Load Frequency Control).

• Simulate and configure RTU, IED, and Console systems.

• Analyze logs, debug files, and perform root cause analysis on production systems.

• Collaborate with clients on technical discussions, documentation, and system reviews.

Required Skills:

• EMS platforms: PowerOn Reliance (XA21), eTerra, or similar (Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider)

• Power System Applications: Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, A DTS

• Protocols: ICCP, IEC, DNP3, Modbus

• Data Modeling: XML, JSON

• Operating Systems: Linux and Windows

• Databases: Oracle, SQL Server

• Programming/Scripting: C, C++, Perl, SQL, Shell scripting

• Experience installing patches and fixes on live production systems

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with electrical transmission modeling and EMS system integration

• Knowledge of SCADA / USCADA environments

• Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera)
