We are seeking a CAD Engineer II to support design and development efforts within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role will focus on creating and maintaining high-quality CAD models and drawings to support product development, manufacturing, and cross-functional collaboration.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in detail-oriented design work and enjoys working closely with engineering and product teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for engineering projects
  • Support design efforts for sheet metal and plastic/injection-molded components
  • Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles throughout the design process
  • Perform tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturability and quality
  • Build and manage assemblies, including BOM structures and exploded views
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure CAD data integrity within PLM systems
  • Identify and resolve design issues in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with NX CAD and Teamcenter (required)
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Associative CAD modeling
    • Parent/child relationships in assemblies
    • 2D drafting and drawing creation
    • Assembly fundamentals (constraints, coordinates, BOMs)
  • Experience with:
    • Sheet metal design
    • Plastic / injection-molded part design
    • Tolerance analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with surfacing techniques
  • Familiarity with PLM systems and product lifecycle workflows
  • Experience working in consumer product or hardware development environments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly collaborative setting
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
