Job SummaryThe SAP IBP Functional Lead will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end planning processes across SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and S/4HANA within a global manufacturing environment. This role requires deep expertise in demand, supply, inventory, and S&OP planning, along with the ability to architect integrated planning-to-execution solutions that connect IBP with S/4HANA's real-time capabilities.
Essential Duties- Lead full lifecycle SAP IBP implementations, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Conduct workshops with supply chain, operations, production planning, and finance teams to capture planning requirements and translate them into functional designs.
- Configure and optimize IBP modules:
Demand Planning
Supply Planning (time-series and order-based)
Inventory Optimization
S&OP / Integrated Business Planning cycles
Control Tower - Design planning operators, algorithms, key figures, and planning areas.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with PP, MM, SD, FI/CO, and EWM teams to ensure integrated business flows.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to harmonize planning processes and drive global template adoption.
Work with technical teams to define RICEFW objects, CPI-DS integrations, and data models. - Program Delivery & Governance
Lead testing cycles: unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
Support data migration (master data, planning data, key figures), cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and IBP/S/4 best practices.
Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business users.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's Degree required or
- Associate's Degree with 20+ years of experience
- 10+ years of SAP functional experience, with at least 5+ years in SAP IBP required
- Hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle IBP + S/4HANA implementation required
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Strong understanding of: Demand and supply planning, S&OP cycles, Inventory optimization, Capacity planning, Manufacturing planning processes
- Expertise in: IBP configuration (planning areas, key figures, operators), CPI-DS or other IBP integration tools, S/4HANA PP, MM, and SD integration points, Fiori apps for planning and execution
- Experience working in multi-plant, global manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Qualifications Preferred- Experience with IBP Response & Supply, Control Tower, or Demand Sensing preferred
- Exposure to APO, EWM, MES/MII, or Ariba preferred
- SAP IBP or S/4HANA certification preferred
- Experience with global template design and rollouts preferred
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $160,000-$220,000
