Job SummaryThe Senior SAP MM Consultant will lead procurement, sourcing, and inventory management solution design across S/4HANA and Ariba platforms within a manufacturing environment. This role requires deep functional expertise, strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, and the ability to architect integrated P2P solutions that leverage both S/4HANA and Ariba capabilities.
Essential Duties- Lead full lifecycle S/4HANA MM and SAP Ariba implementations, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Conduct workshops with procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing stakeholders to capture business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Configure and optimize core SAP MM components:
Procurement (PR/PO)
Source determination & vendor evaluation
Inventory management
Material master & BOM integration
Invoice verification
Subcontracting & consignment
Batch management - Design and integrate SAP Ariba modules such as:
Ariba Sourcing
Ariba Buying & Invoicing
Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance
Ariba Contracts - Ensure seamless integration between Ariba and S/4HANA for end-to-end P2P processes.
- Support manufacturing-specific scenarios:
Make-to-Order (MTO) and Make-to-Stock (MTS)
Subcontracting and external processing
Material staging and shop-floor integration - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SD, PP, FI/CO, QM, WM) to ensure integrated business flows.
- Prepare functional specs for RICEFW objects and work closely with ABAP and integration teams.
- Lead testing cycles: unit testing, SIT, UAT, and defect resolution.
- Support data migration, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Ensure alignment with SAP Activate methodology and industry best practices.
Qualifications Required- Associate's Degree required or
- Associate's Degree with 20+ years of experience
- 12+ years of hands-on SAP MM functional experience required
- 2-3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations in manufacturing required
- Hands-on SAP Ariba implementation experience (at least one full cycle) required
- Strong understanding of P2P processes, sourcing, procurement, and supply chain operations required
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Expertise in: S/4HANA Fiori apps, Material valuation & account determination, Output management, Batch management, IDocs/EDI, Ariba-S/4HANA integration
- Experience working in multi-plant manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications Preferred- Experience with Ariba Guided Buying, Ariba Network, or Ariba Catalogs preferred
- Exposure to WM, QM, PP, or Ariba SCC (Supply Chain Collaboration) preferred
- SAP MM or Ariba certification preferred
- Experience with global template design and rollouts preferred
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $160,000-$220,000
