Job SummaryThe Senior SAP SD Consultant will lead complex, global S/4HANA implementations within a manufacturing environment. This role requires deep functional expertise, strong business process understanding, and the ability to architect scalable Order-to-Cash (OTC) solutions aligned with S/4HANA best practices.
Essential Duties- Drive end-to-end S/4HANA Sales & Distribution implementations, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Serve as the primary SD functional lead for manufacturing-focused OTC processes.
- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to define requirements and translate them into detailed functional specifications.
- Configure and optimize core SD components:
Sales order management
Pricing, discounts, rebates
Delivery & shipping
Billing & invoicing
Credit management
ATP / aATP - Lead integration across modules such as MM, PP, FI/CO, WM/TM, ensuring seamless end-to-end flows.
- Support manufacturing-specific scenarios:
Make-to-Order (MTO)
Make-to-Stock (MTS)
Intercompany sales
Third-party procurement
Returns, repairs, and warranty processes - Oversee RICEFW development by preparing functional specs and collaborating with ABAP teams.
- Manage testing cycles: unit testing, SIT, UAT, defect resolution.
- Provide training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to business users.
- Lead production support activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and S/4HANA best practices.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's Degree required or
- Associate's Degree with 20+ years of experience required
- 12+ years of hands-on SAP SD functional experience required
- Minimum 2-3 full-cycle S/4HANA implementations, preferably in manufacturing required
- Strong understanding of OTC processes, manufacturing operations, and supply chain flows required
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Expertise in:, S/4HANA Fiori apps, Condition technique, Output management, Credit management, IDocs/EDI, Integration with logistics and finance
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and work with global stakeholders.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in fast-paced, multi-plant manufacturing environments.
Qualifications Preferred- Experience with Advanced ATP (aATP) preferred
- Experience with Advanced IC (AIC) preferred
- Exposure to WM, TM, GTS, or VC (Variant Configuration) preferred
- SAP SD or S/4HANA certification preferred
- Experience with global template rollouts preferred
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $160,000-$220,000
