Job SummaryThe Senior SAP FI Consultant will lead financial solution design and implementation across S/4HANA, Vertex tax integration, and Advanced Intercompany processes within a global manufacturing environment. This role requires deep functional expertise in core Finance, strong understanding of end-to-end business processes, and the ability to architect compliant, scalable, and integrated financial solutions.
Essential Duties- Lead full lifecycle S/4HANA Finance (FI) implementations, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
- Serve as the Finance functional lead for Advanced Intercompany (AIC) processes, ensuring seamless multi-entity, multi-country financial flows.
- Conduct workshops with Finance, Tax, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing stakeholders to capture requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
- Configure and optimize core FI components:
General Ledger (New GL)
Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)
Asset Accounting (AA)
Bank Accounting
Financial Closing Cockpit
Tax configuration & reporting - Lead Vertex integration for indirect tax determination, including:
Tax mapping
Jurisdiction configuration
Real-time tax calculation
Testing and reconciliation - Design and implement Advanced Intercompany processes:
Intercompany sales & procurement
Multi-entity cost allocations
Intercompany reconciliation (ICR)
Transfer pricing
Cross-company postings - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, PP, CO, Treasury) to ensure integrated end-to-end financial flows.
- Prepare functional specs for RICEFW objects and work closely with ABAP and integration teams.
- Lead testing cycles: unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
- Support data migration, cutover planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
- Ensure compliance with SAP Activate methodology, internal controls, and audit requirements.
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's Degree required or
- Associate's Degree with 20 years of experience required
- 12+ years of hands-on SAP FI experience required
- 2-3 full-cycle S/4HANA Finance implementations, preferably in manufacturing required
- Proven expertise in Advanced Intercompany (AIC) processes required
- Strong experience with Vertex tax integration required
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Strong understanding of: Financial accounting, Tax determination, Intercompany flows, Manufacturing cost flows, Integration with CO, MM, SD, PP
- Experience working in multi-plant, multi-entity, global manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Qualifications Preferred- Experience with Central Finance (CFIN) preferred
- Exposure to Group Reporting, Treasury, or Product Costing preferred
- SAP FI or S/4HANA Finance certification preferred
- Experience with global template design and rollouts preferred
- Experience with multi entity, multi plant operations preferred
- Experience with complex intercompany supply chains preferred
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $160,000-$220,000
