Job SummaryThe SAP Ariba Functional Lead will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes across Ariba and S/4HANA within a global manufacturing environment. This role requires deep expertise in Ariba modules, strong understanding of procurement and supply chain operations, and the ability to architect integrated, scalable solutions aligned with S/4HANA best practices.
Essential Duties- Solution Design & Implementation
Lead full lifecycle SAP Ariba and S/4HANA P2P implementations, including requirement gathering, blueprinting, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
Conduct workshops with procurement, supply chain, finance, and manufacturing teams to capture business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Design and configure Ariba modules such as:
Ariba Sourcing
Ariba Buying & Invoicing
Ariba Contracts
Ariba Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP)
Ariba Catalogs
Architect seamless Ariba-S/4HANA integration for end-to-end procurement, invoicing, and supplier collaboration. - Manufacturing-Focused Process Expertise
Support manufacturing procurement scenarios:
Direct materials procurement
Subcontracting and external processing
Consignment and vendor-managed inventory
Spare parts procurement
Multi-plant purchasing
Ensure alignment with shop-floor, inventory, and production planning processes. - Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with MM, FI/CO, PP, QM, and EWM teams to ensure integrated business flows.
Partner with technical teams to define RICEFW objects and integration requirements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to drive process harmonization and global template adoption. - Program Governance & Delivery
Lead testing cycles: unit testing, SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect resolution.
Support data migration activities (vendors, contracts, catalogs, purchasing info records).
Drive cutover planning, deployment strategy, and post-go-live stabilization.
Ensure adherence to SAP Activate methodology and industry best practic
Qualifications Required- Bachelor's Degree required or
- Associate's Degree with 20+ years of experience required
- 10+ years of SAP functional experience, with at least 5+ years in SAP Ariba.
- Hands-on experience in at least one full-cycle Ariba + S/4HANA implementation.
General Knowledge, Skills and Abilities- Strong understanding of: Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes, Supplier onboarding and lifecycle management, Contract management and compliance, Direct and indirect procurement, Invoice management and tax considerations
- Expertise in: Ariba Network integration, Ariba-S/4HANA integration frameworks, S/4HANA procurement and inventory processes, Fiori apps for procurement
- Experience working in multi-plant, global manufacturing environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications Preferred- Experience with Ariba Supply Chain Collaboration (SCC) preferred
- Exposure to WM, QM, or IBP preferred
- SAP Ariba or S/4HANA certification preferred
- Experience with global template design and rollouts preferred
Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.
Base Salary Range: $160,000-$220,000
