Project Manager

Job Title: IT Project Manager (Banking Domain) – Remote (USA)

Location: Remote (USA) – Preference for candidates in/near Ohio

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with a strong background in banking and financial services to lead and deliver complex technology projects for our client based in Ohio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing end-to-end IT projects, working with cross-functional teams, and ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage multiple IT projects within the banking domain from initiation to closure
• Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success criteria aligned with business objectives
• Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, QA, business analysts, and stakeholders
• Manage project risks, issues, and dependencies with proactive mitigation strategies
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards relevant to banking systems
• Facilitate regular status meetings and provide updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
• Ensure quality deliverables and customer satisfaction

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in IT project management
• 3+ years of experience in banking or financial services domain
• Strong knowledge of SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid)
• Experience managing distributed/remote teams across the USA
• Proficiency with project management tools (JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
• Experience with core banking systems, payments, lending, or risk/compliance projects
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., FFIEC, SOX, PCI-DSS)
• Experience working with clients in Ohio or Midwest region
