  • Lead the system integration efforts across propulsion, energy storage, power management, and auxiliary systems, defining interface requirements and ensuring seamless operation.

  • Collaborate with classification societies and regulatory bodies to secure design approvals and ensure compliance with industry standards.

  • Maintain familiarity with relevant class rules, international standards (IEEE, IEC), and support on FAT/SAT, commissioning, and sea trials for both new builds and retrofitted vessels.

  • Utilise power systems analysis tools such as SKM, EasyPower, or similar platforms to support engineering assessments and project delivery.

  • Contribute your expertise gained from 5+ years in power systems engineering, with specific experience in marine or heavy electrical systems operating at voltages such as 480VAC, 690VAC, 1000VDC, and 6.6kVAC.

  • Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative hybrid power solutions incorporating energy storage and power management systems.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record with 5 or more years in power systems engineering, preferably within the marine or industrial sectors.

  • Deep understanding of marine electrical power systems, including design and analysis.

  • Experience with power management and hybrid energy systems, incorporating high-voltage systems and energy storage solutions.

  • Proficiency with power system analysis tools like SKM, EasyPower, or similar software.

  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, such as IEEE, IEC, and classification society requirements.

  • Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with regulatory bodies, project teams, and external stakeholders.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience working on complex projects involving propulsion, energy storage, and hybrid power systems.

  • Background working with hardware-in-the-loop testing, FAT/SAT, and sea trials.

  • Knowledge of digital automation, control systems, and integration with power management software.

  • Prior involvement with retrofit projects or upgrades of existing marine power plants.
