Job Summary:Supermicro is looking for a Sr. Product Engineer with deep experience in firmware who's ready to play a key role in shaping our next generation of management software. In this role, you'll work closely with the Software Product Management team while staying hands-on with the technical details that drive BMC and firmware innovation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Define and prioritize next-gen BMC and Redfish features driving remote management innovation.
- Collaborate with PM, HW/FW designers, and cross-functional teams through design, development, and validation phase.
- Research market trends and shape go-to-market strategies with Product Management.
- Enable smooth product launches and drive enterprise customer engagement with technical insights.
Qualifications:- BS or higher in EE/CS/CE or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years in computer engineering, software development, or technical leadership
- 3+ years in software/firmware or server product management
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability to juggle multiple complex projects while anticipating risks and bottlenecks
- Strong technical, people, and organizational skills
Nice to have the following experience, but not required: - Server software technologies like IPMI and DMTF Redfish.
- Managing remote management software support and delivery.
Salary Range$137,000 - $180,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
