Job DetailsWhat You'll Do
This position is responsible for both estimating and managing commercial electrical construction projects from bid through closeout.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate electrical estimates, takeoffs, and bid proposals
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Develop project budgets and cost projections
- Manage awarded projects through completion
- Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and clients
- Track project schedules, budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Attend project meetings and maintain strong customer relationships
- Monitor project profitability and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction
- Experience in estimating, project management, or a combined PM/Estimator role
- Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems and NEC requirements
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Experience with estimating software such as Accubid, ConEst, McCormick, or similar
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
- Journeyman Electrician background
- Experience managing projects ranging from $100K to $10M+
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Experience with Design-Build and Design-Assist projects
- Knowledge of MS Project or Primavera scheduling software
