MECM Programmatic Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled MECM Programmatic Systems Engineer to support complex enterprise system migrations, application deployments, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), enterprise software distribution, DevOps methodologies, and mainframe integration environments.

 Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute MECM patching and platform initiatives
• Perform Dialog Manager, CLIST, and JCL updates to support software migration
• Migrate and install application code across testing and production environments
• Deploy applications across multiple systems/platforms (CICS, DB2, WebSphere, Liberty on z/OS, Linux, AWS)
• Utilize IBM Urban Code Deploy (UCD), OpenShift, and Jenkins within Agile/DevOps frameworks
• Install, uninstall, re-install, and remediate ConfigMgr/MECM clients
• Monitor client health and implement remediation strategies
• Maintain SharePoint documentation and production procedures
• Support site-to-site package distribution, backup, and disaster recovery methodologies
• Participate in DevOps planning and continuous migration/testing strategies
• Develop trend analysis and console alerts
• Evaluate scheduled Configuration Manager Health tasks
• Support enterprise software distribution infrastructure
• Perform additional duties as assigned

 Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with MECM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager) / SCCM
• Experience planning and executing MECM patching initiatives
• Strong experience deploying applications across enterprise environments
• Experience with:
• IBM Urban Code Deploy (UCD)
• WebSphere (WAS) & Liberty
• CICS, DB2, IDMS
• AWS Cloud environments
• Linux & z/OS environments
• Experience with SQL Server (2008, 2012, 2016)
• Experience with Windows 7 & Windows 10 environments
• Object-oriented and web programming experience in:
• SQL, Java, JavaScript
• VBScript, VB.NET
• ASP / ASP.NET
• C languages
• HTML, XML
• PowerShell
• Strong knowledge of:
• TCP/IP Networking
• Active Directory
• Server Administration
• Software Distribution Infrastructure
• Virtual technologies
• Experience building, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise distribution systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting:
• MECM site-to-site package distribution
• MECM client troubleshooting
• MECM site backup & disaster recovery
• Experience developing trend analysis and console alerts
• Strong JCL development and maintenance experience
• Experience managing TSO/ISPF and VSAM files
• Experience installing and maintaining HFS/ZFS for UNIX System Services
• Experience configuring WebSphere MQ

Education

• Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
