Job Description SummaryJob Description- Lead the design, development, and performance optimization of Oracle-based systems supporting asset management operations including portfolio accounting, performance reporting, and trade lifecycle automation.
- Own end-to-end delivery for enterprise applications across Oracle environments, from requirement gathering through development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Apply advanced Oracle SQL and PL/SQL techniques, including set operations, analytics and windowing functions, dynamic SQL, table functions, and complex logic patterns.
- Lead performance tuning using Oracle profiling tools, optimizer hints, query refactoring, table partitioning, and advanced index strategies including index-organized tables.
- Architect and maintain OLTP, OLAP, data mart, and data warehouse solutions tailored to financial services and investment operations needs.
- Design solutions for full trade lifecycle, including reference data mastering, tax lot accounting, cost basis processing, and performance measurement.
- Oversee development of ETL pipelines and data transformation processes, bridging legacy and enterprise platforms.
- Prototype and deliver internal tools and applications using Oracle APEX.
- Provide senior-level production support, leading root cause analysis and incident resolution for high-availability systems.
- Interact with business leaders and technical teams to develop detailed requirements and propose technical solutions to address process deficiencies and pain points, leading to actionable, scalable system designs.
- Manage complex projects across cross-functional teams, budgets, and timelines while also mentoring team members and leading solution reviews.
- Lead development and integration of a consolidated Transaction Manager platform to standardize trade ingestion from multiple Order Management Systems (OMS) and FX sources, routing transactions to downstream systems for accounting, SWIFT processing, and reconciliation.
- Ensure data integrity and compliance in core asset management services such as trade execution, shadow accounting, portfolio cash management, and regulatory reporting.
- Support broader technology modernization initiatives involving integration with third party vendors, internal reporting frameworks, and data governance policies.
- Utilize experience with supporting technologies, including Java, used in the development of internal tools and process enhancements.
REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, or related.
- Five (5) years of development, engineering, or related experience.
- Five (5) years of development, engineering, or related experience must include:
- Oracle SQL and PL/SQL including analytics and windowing functions, dynamic SQL, table functions, and set operations;
- Oracle SQL performance tuning using profiling tools, optimizer hints, query refactoring, table partitioning, and index design (including index-organized tables); Design and delivery of OLTP, OLAP, data mart, and data warehouse environments;
- Trade lifecycle, tax lot accounting, cost basis processing, and performance attribution systems;
- Data integration across enterprise and legacy platforms;
- ETL development and financial data transformation;
- Oracle APEX for low-code internal solution delivery;
- Control-M or comparable enterprise job scheduling tool;
- Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Access for data access, reconciliation, and legacy support;
- Strong mathematical skills and applied quantitative reasoning for trade and performance analysis;
- Use of advanced Oracle functions to resolve complex financial data processing issues;
- Production support for financial systems including incident diagnosis and resolution;
- Translates complex business and regulatory requirements into scalable technical architectures supporting asset management operation;
- Project management and delivery ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality;
- Experience with Agile and Rapid Application Development methodologies;
- Team leadership and mentoring of technical staff;
- Stakeholder management and communication to both business and technical audiences; Risk identification and mitigation for projects and operations;
- Change management guiding technology upgrades and process improvements.
ALTERNATE EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept no degree and seven (7) years of development, engineering, or related experience. Must have skills listed above.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATION: Project Management Professional (PMP)
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Up to 10 percent domestic travel for meetings, team coordination, and strategic planning.
