Hansen Talent Group is hiring a System Software Programmer to support a large agency in Columbia, SC.  This is a hybrid role, onsite 3 days/week. 

We are seeking a strong backend .NET developer with deep SQL Server DBA experience in large-scale enterprise environments.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and support enterprise-scale backend .NET applications.

• Serve as the primary SQL Database Administrator for Child Support related applications.

• Develop applications and database integrations using Microsoft SQL Server.

• Build and manage reports, vendor exports, data warehousing tasks, and complex data processes.

• Identify, extract, transform, and cleanse data based on business requirements and governance standards.

• Perform detailed data profiling and analysis to optimize data quality and performance.

• Lead design, testing, and validation of system interfaces for state and federal data exchanges.

• Monitor nightly batch processes, troubleshoot interface file issues, and serve as the primary contact for production interface problems.

• Inspect and correct partner interface files in production environments.

• Monitor database growth trends and recommend normalization, maintenance, and scalability strategies.

• Design and develop advanced data analysis reports using Power BI.

• Oversee development vendor deliverables and monitor contractor performance related to development and daily operations.

• Maintain enterprise data ownership and stewardship metadata.

• Support architecture, governance, compliance, audit, and data retention standards.

• Participate in performance monitoring of batch and online production systems.

What You’ll Need

• Experience as a SQL Server DBA.

• Experience working in large system architecture environments and supporting large-scale production systems.

• Strong backend development experience using C#, ASP.NET, and/or .NET.

• Hands-on experience with MS SQL Server (2022 Enterprise preferred).

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

• Experience with TFS (Team Foundation Server).

• Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2022.

• PowerShell scripting experience.

• Experience overseeing or coordinating work of software development vendors.

• Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, data architecture, and compliance practices.

• Ability to communicate clearly with technical teams, state IT staff, federal partners, and executive stakeholders.
