Data Steward / Data Scientist AI, Data Governance & Advanced Analytics - 68099

Pay Rate: $45 - $47/hr

We have an immediate need for a Data Steward / Data Scientist based in Cupertino, CA, working in a hybrid model to drive next-generation data governance and AI-powered analytics initiatives.

In this role, you will operate at the intersection of advanced analytics, data governance, and AI automation, taking ownership of data domains while building intelligent solutions. You will design and deploy statistical models and machine learning frameworks, perform deep exploratory data analysis, and develop forecasting models to support business decisions. Alongside analytics, you will act as a data steward by defining data standards, maintaining data dictionaries, and ensuring lineage and quality across systems. You will also build and deploy AI agents using modern frameworks like LangGraph to automate recurring analytical workflows, while ensuring outputs are traceable and aligned with governed data sources. The role involves working with data pipelines, knowledge graphs, and modern cloud platforms to unlock the full value of enterprise data.

The ideal candidate should have strong proficiency in SQL and Python with hands-on experience in libraries such as pandas, scikit-learn, and statsmodels. Experience in building analytical models, performing exploratory data analysis, and working with forecasting techniques is essential. A solid understanding of data governance practices including metadata management, data quality, and lineage is required. Familiarity with data pipeline tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Spark, and experience with knowledge graph technologies like Neo4j is highly preferred. Exposure to AI/LLM-based applications, multi-agent frameworks, and cloud platforms like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks will be an added advantage. Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex insights into actionable business recommendations are critical.
