Position Summary
Dedicated and detail-oriented Health Information Management professional with extensive experience in medical record keeping, digital scanning, and comprehensive file management. Proven track record in maintaining high data accuracy, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing file retrieval workflows. Skilled at auditing medical records for completeness and managing large-scale document imaging projects seamlessly.

Core Qualifications

  • Medical Record Keeping : Managing confidential patient health information securely.
  • Document Scanning : Operating high-volume scanners and indexing digital files.
  • File Management : Organizing physical and electronic filing systems efficiently.
  • Data Quality Assurance : Verifying records for accuracy and completeness.
  • Compliance : Adhering strictly to medical data privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Type correspondence, documents, records, and other written material from various sources in final or draft form using handwritten/marked copy, rough drafts, and recordings or data from various source material.
  • May also operate office machines, such as copiers and fax machines, distribute incoming mail, maintain files, refer visitors, telephone calls, and messages to the appropriate staff member, assist and train other employees, and perform other office duties as required.
  • Will review work to ensure compliance with accepted office practices including correct layout, spelling, punctuation and grammar, and discuss any problems and possible solutions with the author.
  • Compile information, preparing and distributing forms and documents, answering questions orally or in writing and looking up information Process forms, screen documents, maintain files and keep records in order to meet the requirements of agency programs. Work is accomplished in accordance with applicable procedures, rules, regulations and laws.
  • Depending on experience or need may also perform more complicated clerical processing and records maintenance activities in support of a technical, administrative or management operation or using word processing packages, spreadsheets, data base programs, and desktop publishing software.
  • Handling sensitive applications, requests, or inquiries in which management or executive staff may be contacted or interested.
  • They also perform activities that may require coordination with internal or external parties.

Responsibilities :
Dashboard Design and Development

·  Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and visual analytics solutions for institutional and operational reporting needs

·  Creating standardized and reusable dashboard templates and reporting frameworks that can support multiple initiatives and departments

·  Developing intuitive navigation, filtering, and self-service functionality for end users

·  Supporting reporting initiatives related to institutional effectiveness, student success, compliance, operations, and strategic planning

·  Applying data visualization best practices and accessibility standards across reporting solutions


Data Integration and Automation

·  Connecting dashboards and reports to institutional data systems and data sources for scheduled or real-time updates

·  Supporting automated data refresh processes, validation procedures, and quality assurance activities.

·  Collaborating with internal teams to establish appropriate data governance, security, and reporting standards

·  Assisting with integration of reporting tools with databases, APIs, SharePoint lists, and other enterprise systems.


Content Organization

·  Collaborating with stakeholders to standardize metric definitions, calculations, and reporting methodologies

·  Ensuring consistency in reporting structures, dashboard layouts, and visualization practices across projects

·  Supporting documentation of reporting processes, governance standards, and technical workflows


Testing and Continuous Improvement

·  Conducting usability testing and gathering stakeholder feedback to improve reporting solutions.

·  Developing sustainable maintenance and support processes for long-term reporting initiatives.


User Training and Documentation

·  Creating Developing training materials and guides for end users and administrators.


Preferred Qualifications :
Technical Expertise

·  Expert proficiency in Tableau Desktop, Prep and Cloud with demonstrated experience creating interactive dashboards, is required

·  Experience in dashboard development, including interactive features and automated data pipelines

·  Strong knowledge of higher education data structures and common metrics

·  Ability to integrate Tableau with institutional data systems and databases, including PeopleSoft CS9, SharePoint, OpenBook, and application programming interfaces (APIs).

·  Strong background in data visualization best practices and accessibility standards.

·  Proficiency in SQL, ETL processes, and relevant programming languages.


Preferred Experience & Certifications

·  Tableau dashboard development experience in a higher education environment

·  Previous work with community college data systems and metrics

·  Tableau certifications such as:

o    Tableau Desktop Certified Professional

o    Tableau Server Certified Professional

o    Tableau Data Management Certified


Collaboration & Communication Skills

·  Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders across multiple departments

·  Strong problem-solving skills and ability to translate user needs into technical solutions

·  Experience creating clear documentation and training materials
