Summary

Job Title: Collibra Developer / Data Governance Engineer

Location: Pleasanton, CA (Hybrid)

Type: Contract

Position Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Collibra Developer / Data Governance Engineer to support enterprise data governance initiatives by implementing, configuring, and enhancing the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, business glossary management, and workflow automation, with experience integrating Collibra into modern cloud data ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customize, and administer the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform.
  • Develop and maintain business glossaries, data catalogs, metadata models, and governance assets.
  • Design and implement Collibra workflows using BPMN and workflow automation capabilities.
  • Configure governance operating models including domains, communities, roles, responsibilities, and stewardship processes.
  • Integrate Collibra with enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, AWS, Informatica, Microsoft Purview, and other metadata sources.
  • Implement automated metadata ingestion, lineage, and data quality integrations.
  • Support data stewardship, issue management, policy management, and governance lifecycle processes.
  • Partner with business stakeholders, data owners, architects, and engineering teams.
  • Develop APIs and integrations using REST APIs and scripting.
  • Support platform upgrades, security configuration, user administration, and production support.
  • Create governance dashboards, reports, and operational metrics.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Data Governance or Metadata Management.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience implementing and administering Collibra.
  • Strong understanding of Metadata Management, Data Catalog, Business Glossary, Data Lineage, Data Stewardship, and Governance Frameworks.
  • Experience configuring Collibra workflows and governance operating models.
  • Experience with REST APIs, SQL, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform), and Agile methodologies.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Collibra Data Quality (OwlDQ).
  • Experience integrating with Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Purview, Informatica, Talend, or Apache Atlas.
  • Knowledge of Python or Java.
  • Experience with GitHub, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
  • Banking, Financial Services, or Healthcare experience.
