Business Process Consultant

Role Overview

The client is seeking Business Process Consultants to drive alignment between business processes and IT within assigned program areas. This role focuses on process analysis, redesign, and optimization to improve efficiency and support application modernization initiatives. Candidates will work closely with stakeholders, provide strategic guidance, and ensure business needs align with technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform in-depth process analysis, design, and simulation to improve efficiency
Identify process gaps, define performance metrics, and implement improvements
Align business processes with IT systems and modernization initiatives
Provide strategic recommendations to leadership on technology and process improvements
Support planning and prioritization of process engineering activities
Ensure alignment with current and future business objectives
Communicate process flows and support stakeholders throughout project lifecycle
Mentor junior staff and contribute to complex, multi-site initiatives

Required Skills (with Years)

IT Experience 7+ years
Business Process Engineering 4+ years
Project Management 2+ years
Process Improvement Methodologies (Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar) 2+ years
Business process analysis, mapping, and optimization 4+ years

Preferred Skills

Strong experience in process mapping, bottleneck identification, and inefficiency analysis
Familiarity with tools like Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, or BPMN tools (Bizagi, ARIS)
Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills
Experience working on large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
Knowledge of regulatory standards such as HIPAA or CJIS

Preferred Certifications

Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt)
Kaizen Certification or equivalent process improvement certification

Education

Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience
