Role Description:
As a Technical Lead, Quality Assurance, you will provide strategic direction, technical leadership, and hands-on support to a high-performing team responsible for client certifications and quality assurance. You will help guide clients through conversions to Fiserv s debit processing platform, support ongoing product functionality, and ensure high-quality delivery of projects across the Certifications organization.
In this role, you will act as a domain expert, mentor, and escalation point ensuring operational excellence, continuous improvement, and strong client satisfaction.
What you'll do:
Provide robust leadership and guidance to the Certification/Coordination teams.
Manage, coach, and mentor individual contributors to drive high performance.
Ensure alignment with strategic business objectives and certification goals.
Partner with Product and cross-functional internal teams to optimize certification workflows and processes.
Establish clear processes, performance metrics, and KPIs to measure productivity and quality.
Use data-driven insights and MIS reporting (daily/weekly/monthly) to support continuous improvement.
Optimize resource allocation to enhance operational efficiency and throughput.
Work directly with financial institutions and third-party vendors to troubleshoot issues and deliver effective solutions.
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and QA best practices.
Collaborate with internal Fiserv groups to exceed client expectations and drive innovation.
Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce operating costs.
Own and deliver strategic projects and department initiatives.
Support a diverse and inclusive culture through coaching, training, and development.
Assist leadership in defining CERT-EPOC team goals and track associate performance.
Plan and prioritize tasks across multiple concurrent projects to ensure successful delivery.
Experience you'll need to have:
Bachelor s degree in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience leading teams, including technical or client-facing teams.
4+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with deep understanding of QA methodologies.
3+ years of experience in automation testing (frameworks/tools of any type).
3+ years of performance testing experience (test creation, execution, analysis).
3+ years of Agile methodologies experience, with strong familiarity in Scrum or Kanban.
At least 5 years of experience in debit card processing, banking operations, or closely related systems.
Capacity planning and performance management experience for high-volume business functions.
Strong customer service, project management, problemsolving, and data analysis skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication, able to translate technical details for any audience.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional presence and collaborative approach.
Experience that would be great to have:
Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Understanding of security testing methodologies.
Working knowledge of full software development lifecycles.
QA or testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE).
Hands-on experience with JSON, XML, and RESTful API testing.
