Senior iManage Cloud Migration Engineer

Job Description Overview
We are seeking a Senior iManage Cloud Migration Engineer to lead complex Document Management System (DMS) migrations into iManage Cloud. In this role, you will own the entire migration lifecycle—from assessment and strategy through cutover and postmigration stabilization—and serve as the technical lead for highrisk, highvisibility projects.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in iManage Cloud, along with strong skills in Microsoft technologies, virtualization, and scripting. Experience delivering migrations within legal or professional services environments is essential.
What You’ll Do
· Lead full-scale DMS migrations from on-premises systems or alternative DMS platforms into iManage Cloud
· Design and execute migration strategies, including:
o Metadata mapping and normalization
o Security models, ethical walls, and permissions
o Delta migrations and phased cutovers
o Rollback and risk mitigation plans
· Perform hands-on technical work (scripts, tools, validation), not just oversight
· Partner with clients, internal teams, and vendors to ensure smooth transitions
· Lead UAT, cutover weekends, and post-migration support
· Travel periodically for industry conferences, etc. as needed (planned, purposeful travel)
· Participate in presales engagements, including client calls, webinars, product demonstrations, and subject matter expertise support.
· Required Experience
· Deep, hands-on experience with iManage Work / iManage Cloud
· Proven ownership of multiple end-to-end DMS migrations
· Experience migrating from:
o On-prem DMS environments
o Other platforms (e.g., NetDocuments, OpenText, Worldox)
· Strong understanding of:
o Legal DMS structures and workflows
o Security, ethical walls, and compliance requirements
· Technical skills, including:
o PowerShell or scripting
o Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
o APIs, data transformation, and validation
· Comfortable leading technical conversations with senior stakeholders
Nice to Have
• Background in legal technology, law firms, or legal IT MSPs
• Experience working as a consultant or lead engineer on migration projects
• Prior client-facing migration leadership
