RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Data Center Technician in Phoenix, AZ.
Summary:
This role supports data center operations with a focus on inventory control, logistics, and system monitoring. The technician ensures smooth material flow, accurate inventory tracking, and compliance with data center standards while also assisting with basic system monitoring and issue resolution.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Inventory & Logistics:
* Manage shipping/receiving, PO intake, and rack movement coordination (RMS)
* Perform physical inventory tracking, staging, and cycle audits
* Execute data corrections and maintain inventory accuracy
* Handle destruction of data-bearing devices (DBDs) per compliance standards
Data Center Operations:
* Monitor systems for errors, failures, and performance issues
* Respond to alerts, troubleshoot basic issues, or escalate as needed
* Support testing/debugging efforts with engineering teams
Execution & Process Adherence:
* Work independently in high-volume or escalation environments
* Follow strict operational procedures, compliance, and audit requirements
* Maintain documentation and reporting (Excel-heavy environment)
REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED required
* Associate's degree in Programming or equivalent training
2+ years of experience with:
* Data center environment (required)
* Warehouse, inventory, or supply chain operations
* Hands-on material movement + inventory systems experience
Technical Skills:
* Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
* Basic system monitoring/IT operations exposure
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
