Senior OT Platforms Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Senior OT Platforms Engineer.

Responsibilities:
* Serve as a senior technical contributor responsible for the design, implementation, and lifecycle management of enterprise platform infrastructure in a regulated, operationally critical environment
* Act as a platform owner, ensuring systems are designed for scalability, resilience, security, and compliance rather than one-off solutions
* Lead the architecture and ongoing evolution of identity and access platforms, including directory services, authentication, authorization, and policy enforcement
* Partner closely with cybersecurity, operations, and application teams to embed security and compliance into platform designs from the outset
* Drive automation-first engineering practices, reducing manual effort and increasing reliability through scripting and repeatable infrastructure patterns
* Diagnose and resolve complex, escalated platform issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing durable fixes
* Establish and maintain technical standards, documentation, and governance artifacts to support auditability and operational consistency
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing and capability uplift across the platform team
* Participate in an Agile / SAFe-based delivery model, contributing technical guidance to planning, execution, and continuous improvement efforts
* Provide clear, confident communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership-level audiences

REQUIREMENTS:
* Deep experience engineering and supporting Windows Server platforms in enterprise environments
* Advanced knowledge of directory services and identity platforms, including forest design, trust relationships, replication, and policy management
* Experience administering and troubleshooting large-scale, highly available infrastructure environments
* Strong understanding of identity and access management principles, including least privilege, privileged access, and identity lifecycle management
* Familiarity with IGA and PAM concepts and how they integrate into enterprise platforms
* Experience operating in security- and compliance-driven environments, with an appreciation for risk management and audit requirements
* Strong scripting and automation skills, particularly with PowerShell; experience with Python and/or Bash is a plus
* Experience with systems management and configuration tools (e.g., endpoint management, patching, configuration enforcement)
* Demonstrated ability to build repeatable, automated solutions rather than manual processes

Preferred:
* Working knowledge of Linux server administration and identity integration concepts (e.g., LDAP, Kerberos)
* Ability to operate in mixed Windows/Linux environments and support future platform evolution

Preferred:
* Familiarity with hybrid infrastructure models and foundational cloud concepts
* Experience integrating on-prem platforms with cloud-based identity or management services is beneficial
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical topics clearly
* Demonstrated proactive mindset, continuously identifying opportunities to improve platform reliability, security, and scalability
* Comfortable acting as a senior technical voice, influencing decisions

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
