SAP FICO Consultant with Taxation or R2R

• Lead and support SAP FICO implementations with a strong focus on Taxation (US Tax, VAT, Sales & Use Tax) and/or Record to Report (R2R) processes
• Configure and customize SAP FI modules including GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Bank Accounting, and Tax
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
• Work closely with business users to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions
• Perform system configuration, testing (unit, integration, UAT), and documentation
• Provide production support, issue resolution, and continuous process improvements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including CO, MM, SD, and external tax engines (e.g., Vertex, Avalara – if applicable)
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP FICO experience
• Strong expertise in Taxation and/or R2R processes
• Proven experience in SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA Finance
• In-depth understanding of US accounting principles and financial reporting
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a hybrid onsite/offshore environment

• Experience with S/4HANA Finance transformations or migrations
• Exposure to tax integration tools like Vertex or Avalara
• Prior experience working in large enterprise or global implementations
