Scala Spark Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Scala Spark Engineer in Brooklyn, NY.

Summary:
We are seeking a talented Scala Spark Engineer to support the data pipelines that power our advertising and marketplace systems. In this role, you will work with Airflow DAGs and Spark jobs that drive production bidding, pacing, evaluation workflows, and experimentation cycles.

Duties Include:
* Build, maintain, and refactor Scala Spark jobs and Airflow DAGs
* Support data workflows that enable real-time bidding and marketplace optimization
* Collaborate with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality, reliable systems
* Troubleshoot and debug production data pipelines
* Contribute ideas and improvements across the engineering team

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong Scala + Spark production experience
* Experience building and maintaining Airflow DAGs
* Excellent communication and teamwork
* Strong debugging skills and ability to work independently
* Python
* Data analysis experience
* Ads, forecasting, or marketplace domain knowledge
* Able to focus on data quality, testing, and observability

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
