REETECH is seeking an experienced Developer/Programmer Analyst 3 for a contract opportunity with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (Texas HHSC), supporting the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Birth Defects Epidemiology and Surveillance Branch (BDESB).

Required Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience developing, testing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Python, SAS, R, or similar scripts.

• 8+ years of experience in system integration, dashboard development, and workflow automation.

• 8+ years working with structured/semi-structured healthcare, public health, or complex administrative data.

• 2+ years of experience with eCR/eICR, EHR, or Health Information Exchange (HIE).

• Knowledge of HL7, XML, FHIR, SNOMED CT, or other clinical terminology standards.

• Experience with public health surveillance systems, registries, data linkage, matching, ETL, and automated data pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct needs assessments for electronic case reporting (eCR/eICR) integration with the Texas Birth Defects Registry (TBIRDS).

• Develop and maintain automated data integration workflows using Python, SAS, R, or similar programming languages.

• Support healthcare data interoperability and registry modernization initiatives.
