Location: Eagan, Minnesota (Remote)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Remedy Developer to join our team. The project involves working on a highly customized BMC Remedy instance used as an end-to-end call center system. This role requires extensive experience in custom code development, PL/SQL, and scripting, rather than core Remedy ITSM development. The ideal candidate will be a proactive team member capable of making an impact within a tenured and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement custom Remedy applications within a contact center environment.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather and document requirements for new features and enhancements.
- Customize Remedy applications using scripting, workflows, and UI policies.
- Develop integrations between Remedy and other systems using REST/SOAP APIs, scripts, and middleware.
- Perform unit testing and support user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solutions meet quality standards.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for Remedy solutions.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues within the Remedy platform, including reading and understanding logs to resolve production issues.
- Engage and communicate effectively during Agile ceremonies.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience (4+ years) in writing custom Remedy workflows using activelink, filters, and forms.
- Proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, including the ability to write and optimize complex queries, develop stored procedures and functions, and understand Explain Plan results.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and shell scripts.
- Strong knowledge of Remedy development including Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs.
- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience working with Linux environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Remedy server upgrades, including applying new BMC patches.
- Familiarity with Tomcat server setup, including reviewing logs and updating configuration files.
- Experience working with Remedy REST APIs and SOAP APIs.
- Experience upgrading Remedy 20.x to Helix on-prem.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- AWS Experience.
- BMC Helix experience is considered a plus.
