Summary

Imagine building web applications that keep Apple running.

Do you like taking ownership of products end-to-end, from how they look and feel to how they scale in production? Have you cared deeply about performance, accessibility, and shipping polished experiences that people depend on every day?

Our team builds and maintains critical web applications for operations, employee engagement, events, education, and community. We own them completely: the front-end interfaces, the data layer that powers them, the pipeline that ships them, and the on-call responsibility that keeps them running. We're a small, high-impact team with broad surface area, and we need engineers who thrive in that environment.

Are you drawn to building products that make Apple more efficient and connected? Do you love the intersection of front-end craft, full-stack thinking, performance, and accessibility? Do you want to own meaningful applications and help shape how your team grows?

If so, we'd like to talk.

Description

This is a hands-on engineering role with real ownership. You'll design, build, and maintain web applications across our full stack, making decisions about architecture, performance, and user experience. You'll work across React, Next.js, and TypeScript on the front end, integrate with back-end services and APIs, and own the build and delivery pipeline that keeps our applications live and healthy.

Our applications span both internal and external audiences in the machine learning communications space: internal tools that support review and approval workflows, and public-facing experiences that publish rich, data-driven content to a broader audience.

The role is full-stack in the truest sense. You'll move fluidly across the entire surface: front-end interfaces and components, data fetching and state management, back-end integration, and deployment infrastructure. You'll also mentor and learn from teammates, make technical judgments independently, and help set the bar for quality and craft on your team. You'll be building products that are robust, performant, accessible, and a pleasure to use and maintain.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of professional software engineering experience

Experience shipping and maintaining production web applications with React and Next.js

Strong proficiency with TypeScript, HTML, and CSS

Experience using GenAI when writing code, tests, PR reviews, documentation, and more

Hands-on experience with full-stack web development: building front ends, integrating with back-end services and APIs, and understanding deployment and infrastructure concerns

Demonstrated ability to take ownership, work independently, and make sound technical decisions

BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications

Strong, deep experience with modern React patterns (hooks, context, state management libraries) and Next.js App Router

Experience with server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and modern rendering strategies

Comfortable working across the stack: databases, back-end services, APIs, and deployment infrastructure

Experience building and shipping data-driven front ends against complex back-end systems

Expertise in automated testing (unit, integration, end-to-end, visual regression)

Hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, observability tools, and shipping applications safely and iteratively

Experience with design systems, component libraries, and accessibility best practices

A growth mindset: comfort learning new technologies and helping others do the same

Care for the craft of software development, thoughtful about architecture, maintainability, and long-term health of codebases

A design sensibility and an eye for performance, accessibility, and user experience

Experience mentoring and helping junior engineers grow
