Position Overview
Client is seeking an experienced Training Specialist / Instructional Designer to support training development and delivery for a PeopleSoft Financials ERP system.
The selected candidate will design, develop, and deliver comprehensive training programs across multiple modalities including instructor-led training (ILT), virtual training, and e-learning. This role requires strong collaboration within a large remote agile team environment and hands-on involvement in system design discussions and testing activities.
Key Responsibilities
Training Program Development
- Design and implement a comprehensive training program tailored to specific financial business areas.
- Develop curriculum from the ground up, including:
- Course outlines
- Instructor guides
- Student materials
- Training aids
- Assessments and test items
- Create accessibility-compliant, role-based training content.
- Incorporate new curriculum into instructional delivery and revise materials as needed.
Instructional Delivery
- Conduct instructor-led classroom and web-based training sessions.
- Deliver training via:
- Onsite sessions
- Remote/virtual sessions
- Asynchronous e-learning
- Develop alternative teaching techniques to maintain engagement and learning effectiveness.
- Teach technical courses to maintain proficiency and evaluate new instructional approaches.
Content & Documentation
- Translate complex technical and financial system information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
- Develop step-by-step procedures for desktop support processes (e.g., RAS procedures).
- Maintain supplementary technical documentation.
- Assist with formatting training materials created by other staff.
Learning Technology & Infrastructure
- Support development of infrastructure for information delivery.
- Assist in computer-based and multimedia curriculum design.
- Manage and maintain training SharePoint site.
- Stay current with modern training delivery methods and tools.
Training Needs Analysis
- Analyze training needs based on new business processes and policy changes.
- Collaborate with system teams during design and testing phases.
- Conduct test analysis and revise assessments as needed.
Compliance & Accessibility
- Ensure materials comply with accessibility standards (EIR knowledge required).
- Understand assistive technologies used by individuals with disabilities.
- Follow proper communication protocols for customers requiring special assistance.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Instructional Design
- Experience developing training for PeopleSoft Financials ERP
- Ability to work in Agile / iterative delivery environments
- Experience delivering:
- Instructor-led training
- Virtual training
- E-learning modules
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience developing role-based training content
- Knowledge of accessibility standards (EIR compliance preferred)
- Experience managing SharePoint training repositories
