Job Overview:

The Asset and Grid Data Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable data architectures to support asset management and grid operations.
This role involves translating business requirements into domain-driven data solutions, enabling analytics, governance, and integration across enterprise systems.
The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders and engineering teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data platforms and solutions.

Experience:

Strong experience in data architecture, data modeling, and integration design.
Experience designing modern data platforms including data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming architectures.
Experience working with utility systems such as GIS, OMS, ADMS, SCADA, AMI, or EAM platforms.

Responsibilities:

Partner with business stakeholders to define data-driven outcomes and success criteria.
Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with domain-driven design principles.
Architect and oversee development of data products including curated datasets, semantic models, APIs, and analytical solutions.
Define architecture patterns for batch and streaming data pipelines.
Establish and enforce data governance standards including data quality, metadata, and lineage frameworks.
Design integration architectures across enterprise and utility systems.
Collaborate with data engineering teams to implement ETL/ELT pipelines and scalable data models.
Define master data and reference data management strategies.
Implement data quality monitoring, validation, and observability frameworks.
Define security models including role-based access control and data classification.
Enable analytics use cases such as asset performance, predictive maintenance, outage analysis, and load forecasting.
Support adoption through documentation, training materials, and best practices.

Skills:

Data architecture and domain-driven design.
Data modeling and integration design.
ETL/ELT pipelines and streaming data architectures.
SQL and data analysis for validation and troubleshooting.
Data governance, quality, lineage, and stewardship frameworks.
Experience with BI tools such as Power BI.
Knowledge of enterprise integration patterns and utility data models.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
Equivalent work experience may be considered.

Should Have:

Experience supporting regulatory reporting or audit processes.
Knowledge of industry standards such as common information models.
Strong domain expertise in asset and grid operations, maintenance, and planning.
