Job DetailsPosition Overview: The Accounting Manager, reporting to the Controller, will lead day to day accounting operations to ensure month-end close and team performance meet company standards. In the immediate future, the Accounting Manager will help to spearhead the implementation of our cost accounting system.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
- Lead month-end close, inclusive of journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
- Manager general ledger inclusive of accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions
- Adhere to US GAAP
- Financial reporting, variance analysis, issue resolution
- Communicate financial findings to department heads to support business decisions
- Liaise with external auditors and tax representatives
- Support process improvement
- Ensure internal controls
- Support leadership with budgeting and forecasting
- Spearhead cost accounting system implementation along with leadership
- Build out costing processes and framework
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 6+ years accounting experience
- 2+ years leadership experience
- Manufacturing / Agriculture industry
- Cost accounting
- Able to be on site 3+ days / week Jan-Sep, 4-5 days / week Sep-Dec
Preferred Qualifications:
- Systems implementation experience
- Public accounting
- CPA
