Manual Tester

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Manual Tester. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating web-based and enterprise applications, executing test cases, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality software releases. The candidate should possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business and functional requirements to create comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Perform manual testing of web, mobile, and enterprise applications.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Validate application functionality, usability, and overall user experience.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing progress to project stakeholders.
• Ensure software releases meet quality standards and business requirements.
• Support production validation and post-release testing activities.

Required Skills

• Experience in Manual Testing / Quality Assurance.
• Strong knowledge of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Quality Center.
• Experience in testing web-based applications and APIs.
• Knowledge of SQL for backend data validation and database testing.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to API testing using Postman or Swagger.
• Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium.
• QA certification is a plus.

Education

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
