Position: Supply Chain Specialist

Schedule: Hybrid: 3 days at the office, 2 days remote

Job Overview: The Supply Chain Specialist is a critical role responsible for providing expertise and support across various areas of supply chain management, including strategic sourcing, equipment management, and inventory. This position requires a proactive approach to developing supply chain strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency.
Responsibilities: - Develop supply chain strategic plans and business intelligence by engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in supplier evaluation and scoring methodology for supplier selection.
- Create communication and reporting strategies to keep key stakeholders informed.
- Review, communicate, and manage upcoming material requirement needs.
- Develop and publish supply chain reports to support budgeting, forecasting, and continuous process improvements.
- Monitor supply chain activities and take necessary actions to meet performance measures.
- Establish and maintain business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry changes and implement policies and procedures to support new technologies.
- Test new technology applications and practices to ensure no harm to stakeholders.
- Provide technical support for supply chain applications and systems.
- Offer technical assistance, root cause analysis, and recommendations to the Supply Chain organization and internal customers.
- Ensure supply chain activities support construction, emergency restoration, and program work.
- Develop and lead workshops to educate personnel within and outside the Supply Chain organization.
- Participate in task forces, training, and ad-hoc committee assignments.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications: - BA/BS degree required, preferably with a focus in supply chain or logistics.
- Minimum of 5 years of direct experience; utility industry experience preferred.
- Strong functional knowledge of Maximo.
- Working knowledge of Oracle and SQL.
- Conceptual knowledge of supply chain industry best practices.
- Ability to facilitate the design and reengineering of supply chain processes.
- Proven ability to build agreement and positively influence team outcomes.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office capabilities; advanced proficiency preferred.
- Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a team environment.
