OverviewWe are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team. This role is responsible for transforming raw footage into polished, engaging video content that supports a variety of digital platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong technical editing skills, a keen eye for storytelling, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities- Edit raw video footage into cohesive, high-quality content using industry-standard software (e.g., Camtasia, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve)
- Review and select footage to construct clear, engaging narratives
- Enhance videos with motion graphics, text overlays, animations, and visual effects
- Edit and mix audio, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to ensure quality sound design
- Perform color correction and grading to achieve the desired visual style and consistency
- Create smooth transitions and maintain pacing throughout video content
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project goals and translate them into effective visual storytelling
- Incorporate feedback from internal teams and stakeholders to refine final deliverables
- Organize and manage video assets and project files for easy access and reuse
- Optimize video content for multiple platforms, including social media, web, and mobile devices
- Render and export video files in appropriate formats and resolutions
- Conduct quality checks to ensure all content meets technical and creative standards
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices in video production
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Film, Media Production, or a related field preferred (not required)
- Minimum of 1 year of professional video editing experience preferred
- Proficiency in Camtasia required
- Experience with Adobe After Effects strongly preferred
- Strong creative and visual storytelling abilities
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges
- Adaptability to different styles, formats, and project requirements
Additional Requirements- Must submit a portfolio demonstrating prior video editing work
- Portfolio should highlight editing style, technical skills, and ability to produce polished, engaging content
- Links to online portfolios (e.g., Vimeo, YouTube, personal website) are preferred
