The Process Controls Engineer is a resource that will provide technical support of process control systems across Operations with a modern DCS as well as maintain existing control systems. These roles resolve plant issues, drive improvements, and share knowledge to strengthen the performance of the team.

What You'll Do
  • Develop, update, and simulate code improvements for the DCS that have been identified by process knowledgeable personnel.
  • Ensure control loops are adequately tuned, and process parameters are controlled to allow consistent operating conditions, product quality, etc.
  • Coordinate with MES application-related efforts with the team and application users in mind and assist in the identification and development of Most Effective Technologies (MET).
  • Assist with FEL-2 and FEL-3 estimates and engineering by providing plant level knowledge and insight or work with the plant to generate the information required.
  • Work independently as a system owner, providing care and troubleshooting of process automation systems and their associated networks and interfaces.
  • Identify and manage Preventative Maintenance tasks and health checks for the systems that you support and provide corrective support in response to a system error condition or failure as the first point of escalation from the plant.

Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Engineering; Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical discipline preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience with chemical manufacturing processes; 5+ years' experience chemical manufacturing processes preferred.
  • Experience with Yokogawa, Aspen Tech, Primavera P6, Smart Plant preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) and must possess a valid US driver's license.
