We are seeking a customer-focused Senior Cloud Data Architect to join our team in supporting mission-critical digital modernization and analytics projects. In this role, you will collaborate with subject matter experts, engineers, and client leaders to design, deliver, and optimize high-performance cloud data architectures. You will play a vital role in transforming functional business needs into scalable Azure-based data solutions that drive advanced analytics and geospatial visualization.

responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate business concepts into conceptual, logical, and physical data models supporting complex analytical queries.
• Design and deliver cloud data architectures utilizing Microsoft Azure services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure Analysis Services, and Azure Synapse.
• Lead data migration and refactoring initiatives, converting legacy data models (such as SSAS cubes) to modern cloud-tabular structures.
• Establish data standards, metadata management, enterprise data catalogs, and data governance best practices.
• Optimize SQL queries and data pipeline designs to maximize system performance and cost efficiencies.

qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of experience (or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience).

5+ years of hands-on experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling.

4+ years of cloud data architecture experience, specifically with Microsoft Azure data platforms.

4+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server, star schema design, data marts, and SSAS OLAP cubes.

Strong knowledge of SQL optimization, along with exposure to Python, Spark, or .NET development.

U.S. Citizenship with at least 3 years of continuous U.S. residency, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience developing Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks.

Familiarity with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and Azure DevOps.

Active Azure Enterprise Data Analyst certification.
