Role Description
The Technical Lead owns the technical design and delivery of software release rollout automation, building reliable mechanisms to package, deploy, validate, and monitor releases across environments.
This role partners with product, engineering, QA, and operations to define rollout strategies, manage risks, and ensure release readiness through governance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills
Strong hands-on experience developing release and deployment automation, including rollout orchestration, environment promotion, and rollback strategies.
Proficiency in scripting and automation development, with solid understanding of CI/CD concepts, artifact/version management, and release governance.
Experience leading technical execution through design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and cross-team coordination to resolve dependencies and defects.
Strong operational mindset, including observability, incident support, and building resilient automation with appropriate controls and auditability.
Nice-to-have Skills
Experience with deployment patterns (blue/green, canary, feature flags) and release verification practices (smoke tests, automated health checks).
Familiarity with cloud or container platforms and infrastructure automation concepts.
Exposure to security and compliance requirements for release processes (access controls, approvals, segregation of duties).
