Senior .NET Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior .NET Developer in Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities:
* Senior .NET Developer will design and implement scalable applications using .NET Core 8.0
* Define technical architecture and development approaches prior to implementation
* Lead the migration of legacy systems to AWS-based cloud infrastructure
* Develop and maintain microservices with real-time service-to-service communication
* Build and deploy serverless and cloud-native components using AWS services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL
* Ensure secure handling of sensitive and customer data, implementing OAuth2, JWT, and tenant isolation strategies
* Translate high-level requirements into technical designs and production-ready solutions
* As a Senior .NET Developer, you will partner with business analysts and cross-functional teams to refine requirements and deliver high-quality solutions
* Provide clear explanations of architectural decisions and walk stakeholders through real-time technical scenarios
* Take ownership of delivery timelines, code quality, and technical standards

REQUIREMENTS:
* Approximately 10+ years of professional software development experience
* Advanced experience with AWS services, particularly Lambda, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL
* Proven experience with cloud migration initiatives (on-premise or legacy systems to AWS)
* Strong background in microservices architecture and real-time distributed systems
* Solid understanding of application security, including OAuth2, JWT, and multi-tenant architecture
* Expert-level proficiency in .NET Core (version 8.0 preferred)
* Demonstrated architectural mindset with the ability to define and document scalable solutions
* Strong collaboration skills and experience working closely with business and technical stakeholders
* Clear, structured communicator with the ability to justify design decisions
* Proactive, assertive, and accountable in driving technical delivery

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
