Role Overview

Our client is seeking a strategic and execution-driven Senior Vice President – Data & AI to lead enterprise-scale data and artificial intelligence initiatives. This executive will be responsible for shaping the organization’s Data & AI strategy, driving AI-led transformation programs, and building scalable data platforms that enable business growth and innovation.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience working with global technology and consulting organizations with a strong track record of delivering enterprise data modernization and AI solutions for large clients.

This role requires both strategic leadership and hands-on expertise in modern data platforms, AI/ML.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the organization’s enterprise Data & AI strategy, aligning technology investments with business outcomes.

• Lead large-scale data transformation initiatives, including data modernization, AI adoption, and advanced analytics capabilities.

• Drive AI-led innovation, enabling intelligent automation, predictive insights, and new data-driven business models.

• Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership and clients on Data & AI strategy and emerging technologies.

Data Platform & Architecture

• Oversee the development of modern data platforms, including data lakes, lakehouses, and enterprise data warehouses.

• Establish best practices for data governance, data quality, metadata management, and security frameworks.

• Architect scalable solutions leveraging cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

AI & Advanced Analytics

• Lead the implementation of AI, machine learning, and generative AI solutions across business functions.

• Identify high-value use cases for predictive analytics, natural language processing, and intelligent automation.

• Ensure AI initiatives align with ethical AI practices and regulatory requirements.

Client Engagement & Business Growth

• Partner with clients to design and implement enterprise Data & AI transformation programs.

• Support business development by identifying new opportunities and contributing to AI-driven solution offerings.

• Build strategic relationships with key technology partners and ecosystem providers.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead high-performing teams of data engineers, data scientists, AI specialists, and analytics professionals.

• Mentor senior technical leaders and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

• Establish scalable delivery models for global Data & AI programs.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, AI, or enterprise data architecture.

• Proven leadership experience in Data & AI strategy and enterprise transformation programs.

• Strong expertise in modern data platforms, cloud architectures, and AI/ML ecosystems.

• Experience leading large-scale global delivery teams and complex enterprise engagements.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence C-level executives and senior business leaders.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform)

• Knowledge of modern data architectures (Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Data Fabric)

• Expertise in machine learning, generative AI, and advanced analytics frameworks

• Experience delivering AI-driven digital transformation programs

• Familiarity with data governance, regulatory compliance, and enterprise data strategy
