Pay Range: $40 - $48 per hour

Job Description:
Seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to support the development, validation, and optimization of drivetrain control software for large equipment applications. This role focuses on embedded software development, controls implementation, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement of transmission control systems within a collaborative engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement embedded software solutions using C, MATLAB/Simulink, and related tools.
  • Analyze requirements, create software that meets design specifications, and validate functionality through simulation and testing.
  • Investigate field-reported issues, determine root causes, develop corrective solutions, and support ongoing product enhancements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review software requirements, present technical findings, and ensure compliance with performance and safety objectives.
  • Support software validation activities on equipment and operate vehicles within facility grounds as required for testing.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing embedded applications using C, MATLAB Simulink, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of control theory and its practical application in embedded systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, technical problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Experience writing and reviewing software requirements and following embedded software development processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with transmission, mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic system diagnostics and controls.
  • Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, or similar communication protocols.
  • Experience with model-based development, continuous integration, automated build tools, and embedded development environments.
  • Knowledge of electronic components, schematics, and laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Experience with control systems design and analysis in agricultural, automotive, or heavy equipment applications.
