Role Overview
We are seeking a developer to join an Equities Engines Team to help power mission-critical, low-latency trading systems. In this role, you will work on Core Java-based Trading Engine applications, including Smart Order Routing and Crossing Engine platforms that operate at scale. You will play a key role in designing, enhancing, and supporting high-performance trading technology, while also driving improvements in automation, SDLC efficiency, and platform resiliency.
Key Responsibilities
- Enhance and support Equities Engines applications like Smart Order Router and Crossing Engine platforms.
- Develop and enhance Core Java frameworks and features.
- Diagnose issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.
- Collaborate with Product, Quant, QA, and Technology teams.
- Analyze requirements and design technical solutions.
- Write and maintain automated test cases.
- Coordinate and manage CI/CD for new software version releases.
- Provide production support and conduct code reviews for other team members.
- Adhere to Agile delivery practices.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- In-depth Core Java development experience.
- Experience with multi-threaded, low-latency systems.
- Experience with equities electronic trading, including Smart Order Router, Crossing Engine, or FIX protocol.
Skills:- Strong communication skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving ability.
- A mindset for team collaboration and ownership.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years working on enterprise-scale, low-latency trading applications developed primarily using C++ in a Linux environment.
- Practical experience within an electronic trading environment in an investment bank or similar.
- Experience with low-latency tuning techniques such as efficient CPU/memory allocation, kernel bypass technologies, and expert threading knowledge.
- Experience with quantitative trading, including analytics in Python or q/kdb+.
- Practical, hands-on experience with Agile and test-driven development.
- An automation-first mindset across the software development lifecycle.
Compensation
Pay rate range: $65.00/hr - $71.60/hr. The specific rate will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
