Allient Inc. is seeking 6-8 Engineering Interns to join our engineering team in Oshkosh, WI! This is a great opportunity for students pursuing an engineering-related degree to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment while working alongside experienced engineers. Apply now!

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the engineering team with day-to-day activities, including part specification creation and revisions, SolidWorks drawing updates, and bill of materials (BOM) changes.
  • Learn company and industry engineering practices, design principles, and product knowledge to support general engineering tasks.
  • Utilize design software and proprietary techniques to analyze designs and gain an understanding of transformer construction.
  • Collaborate with production floor staff and lab personnel to learn testing procedures, quality requirements, and aspects of mass production.
  • Analyze new and existing designs to identify cost-saving opportunities and production improvements.
  • Prepare engineering packets that include customer drawings, similar unit references, applicable industry standards, and producibility considerations.
  • Support mass-update projects for older product series, including updates to drawings, kit sheets, BOMs, and process sheets.
  • Complete work under the guidance and review of senior engineers.

Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a 2- or 4-year college program in engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, engineering, physics, or a related field.
  • Interest in gaining hands-on engineering and manufacturing experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and lab personnel.
