We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our innovative Engineering team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design, analysis, and development of large-scale commercial structures. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, collaborate with a team of skilled professionals, and contribute to the structural integrity and success of commercial buildings.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the design and analysis of structural systems for various commercial structures, ensuring they are both safe and economical.
2. Use advanced engineering software and tools for designing and simulating structural components.
3. Review and approve project drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet all necessary codes and quality standards.
4. Collaborate with architects, designers, and other engineers to integrate structural systems effectively into overall designs.
5. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers, offering mentorship and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
6. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure construction is in line with design and to address any emerging structural issues.
7. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing design decisions and project progress.
8. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in regulations to ensure designs are current and compliant.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering. A Master's degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and analysis, specifically within the commercial sector.
3. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) is required.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SAP2000.
5. Strong understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and current design standards and codes.
6. Excellent project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
7. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
9. A commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry advancements.
